Centrifugation technologies for continuous production processes were developed. Data of successful proof of concept tests using a batch process were used for an initial design of the process units. Based on the definition of the process performance in batch processes, the design of a centrifuge for continuous production were elaborated.

The centrifuge accomplished allows unrestricted industrial scale up and is compliant with GMP regulations, enabling even Clean in Place for pharmaceutical production.
